VFW Post 3834 Surpasses 100% Membership

Commander - 6/2/2021

The VFW post was recognized for "having achieved the distinct honor” of exceeding membership goals and received a signed letter and streamer from VFW National Commander-in-Chief Harold "Hal” Roesch, II.

Post Commander Raul Barragan attributes the success of the post to the new generation of Post-9/11 veterans who have led the way in attracting members. "The post is more than just a bar,” Barragan said, "we are veteran driven, our goal is to help veterans get help when they need it.” Barragan said, "members are recognizing the need to surround themselves with like-minded veterans who want to grow personally and professionally, these are the keys to our growth.” The post is continuing to work toward attracting new members through events and partnerships with local and state representatives.

Formed and chartered on July 18th, 1942, VFW Post 3834 has been a strong pillar in the local community for over 79 years. VFW Post 3834 is in the Seventh District in the Department of California of the national Veterans of Foreign Wars organization.
